Sunriver

As a fun "last hurrah" of summer, we took a trip to Sunriver near Bend, OR! Our trip started with a stop in Salem for a fun-filled day with grandparents (Linnea's parents) - boating on the river and visiting the State Fair! Then...off to central Oregon. Some wonderful friends of our family allowed us to use their vacation cabin, and we enjoyed our first family vacation as the "4" of us!

Hooray for vacation!

Ready to hit the pool!

We started each morning with a walk. The weather was cold, crisp & beautiful. The weather warmed as the day went on, getting to be close to 80 in the afternoon!

Owen's first bike riding experience - off to the park!

We enjoyed lots of cozy time together :)

Brian was "trying" to watch the football game - oh how times have changed!

Chillin' with dad!

A perfect treat after pool time!

Owen gets his TV time in the morning when he gets up. We recently got him a new toddler Bible that came with a DVD of some of the Bible stories. He was watching his Bible DVD while reading his Bible. Love it!!

I love how she's holding Brian's finger :)

We turned the hot tub down a few degrees to a safe temperature for Owen..and he was LOVING what he called the "hot pool"!

Rise & Shine! Fun & cozy sibling silliness. I love it!

Good Habits

I work for a dentist, so you can believe we make oral hygiene a high priority in our household! Owen does a great job of patiently letting us brush his teeth twice a day, and with a mouthful of teeth including molars, it was time for the first dental visit!

Our pediatrician recommended we visit a pediatric dentist for these first few years to help ensure a positive experience. The pediatric dentist's office was filled with kid-friendly decor and an un-intimidating layout for exams.

The dentist was very nice and patient

Owen did a great job for his first visit!

And don't worry Owen - we'll be back....every 6 months for the rest of your life :) ha!
