4th of July

July has started out to be a big month! In the days leading to the 4th of July weekend, we took a little "family getaway" to Lake Chelan. Owen's first vacation - and we had a great time! We got back just in time to celebrate 4th of July, and couldn't help but look forward to future years when Owen will enjoy fireworks and the entire celebration. The Monday after 4th of July, Linnea headed back to work. It's been a big transition, but we are grateful that her work is letting her bounce between working at the office and from home. Also - the greatest blessing is that both of our moms have been taking turns coming up to help take care for Owen during this transition. Owen has been loving all his grandma time, and we are so grateful for their help and support! Unfortunately, Owen is resisting the bottle which makes going back to work an extra challenge for Linnea. We've tried every version of a bottle we can find, but no luck yet. I think perhaps we have a strong willed child on our hands! :) Owen is now 11 weeks old - and changing all the time! He is such a joy. He is becoming more-and-more interactive and he smiles often, although it's still hard to catch those grins on camera.

Loving the swing!

Happy 4th of July!

OOO! I am so excited to be able to leave a comment!! I love reading what you all (y'all in Texas) are up to. Owen is ADORABLE. Looks like you are really enjoying him. I love his swing-wish they made one in adult size! Hang in there with the bottle-Maya never took one (she went straight to a sippy cup, but she was older, 6 mos.) but Logan liked Gerber with the rubber (tan) nipple the cheapest one on the market-go figure. He would not touch the silicone nipple. Hope it helps. Love the blog keep it up!!

Oh those stubborn little boys. brings back memories....once burned, it didn;t ottlhappen twice...learned that babies need 1 bottle a day right out of the shute! I know that doesn't help now, but hang in there...eye dropper some milk in, try dipping his binkie in milk. (does he take a pacifier>|?)suck the finger, drop milk beside it, many crazy things to try. Good luck!
PS Love love love the photos
